Lovely Ladies Summit
Prior to the start of our Indiegogo campaign, we were certain we would make our $500 goal. No question. We just thought it might take us a week or so. To our amazement, it was obtained in a day. Within a week, we obtained several milestones up to $1200. In week two, the donations have slowed down, but we are still raising money. We currently sit at $1354.
This tells us that what we are doing is very important. When it comes to getting the message out there, Feminism is still the top dog. They managed to convinced the world that WOMEN::GOOD MEN::BAD. To even suggest that men are victims is a tough pill to swallow for the world. Which means, we need to be more creative in how we tell the world that Men are being left behind in this world and need our empathy. Not to erase women, but to treat them equally.
With the success we’ve had thus far with the Calendar campaign, we have decided to try to go to the next logical step… a Summit. A meet-up with the Lovely Ladies. A conference of Men’s Issues. All of that wrapped into one weekend. By no means are we trying to compete with IMCI in Australia this year, and if you can go to that, by all means go to that. But in getting the message out there, many of us should be trying to hold get togethers, such as the Red Pill Movie playing across the world or even the event planned by Hannah Wallen last summer.
Our plan for this is to bring as many models together (and me as well) in one location. During that time, we want to do a special photoshoot with the girls, and even do a mini-documentry of the girls with behind-the-scenes of the photoshoot and interviews. Perhaps even going to the beach in swimsuits and a little volleyball tournament.
We have a new milestone set on our campaign for $3000. The more we have, the more we can do with this, but $3000 should allow us to bring a few models to North Carolina in August, and give them hotels and food for their time there. With them there, we can also do a public meetup where we can talk about various issues, and fans on the east coast can meet them. More than just meet them, but buy some of our products before they are officially released and get an autograph from our Lovely Ladies.
We are very proud and honoured by what we have received so far in donations, and if this is all we earn for this campaign, we are humbled by the experience. At the same time, if we can raise the money, we should try to do everything we can to get the message out there. I’m sure there are many others out there that would want a calendar or even a poster of Mercedes Carrera. Spread the word and help us hit that $3000 goal, or perhaps surpass that goal to do something truly amazing.
